A Messenger at the Threshold
A fox of folklore stands in a handcrafted scene of soft light. Beside a wooden display echoing the geometry of shoji doors and shrine-like gates, the fox invites you to a peaceful space between the visible and the spiritual. Each piece is a unique creation, designed to bring a touch of Japanese "Yoin" (lingering memory) to your home.
The Art of the Kimono
- Eba-moyo Layout: The pattern is arranged to continue across the seams, inspired by the eba-moyo layout used in traditional kimono.
- Selected Textiles: I reviewed over 30 fabrics before choosing this silk-like polyester for its color, lightness, and suitable firmness for a small kimono.
- Hand-Sewn, No Glue: The kimono is sewn by hand without glue.
Customization
- Removable Obi (Sash): The fox comes wearing the obi sash shown in the photos. You can also personalize it with your favorite ribbons, such as vintage velvet or delicate lace.
- Interchangeable Earrings: Standard fashion earring size (approx. 0.8-1.0 mm / 18-20 Gauge). Includes two pairs of hand-knotted flower earrings in colors chosen to complement the kimono.
