Safety First

To protect both the artwork and your home, please observe these safety precautions:

LED Lights Only / No Open Flames: The wooden display, Washi paper, and kimono fabrics are highly flammable. Never use real candles or open flames. Use only the included LED lights.
Choking Hazard: This product contains small parts (earrings, lantern components). Please keep it out of reach of small children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion.
For Display Only: This is an art piece, not a toy. Please handle it with care, as excessive force may cause damage.

Due to its intricate construction, please take care when setting up:

Arm Positioning: The arms contain internal wires and can be adjusted slightly. However, they are not designed for frequent movement. Please handle them gently when adjusting the pose.
Lantern (Teshoku) Attachment: There is a small hole in the fox's palm. Align the lantern's stem with this hole and insert it gently. Do not force it; find the position where it sits securely.
Lighting & Battery: Due to international shipping regulations, the battery is not included. Please purchase a CR927 button cell separately.
Note: The LED light unit for the lantern is included with your order.

Proper care will allow your piece to age beautifully over time.

Cleaning: To remove dust, gently use a soft brush or a camera-style air blower. Avoid wiping with a cloth, as it may damage the delicate Washi paper or small parts.
Replacing Shoji Paper: If the Washi paper on the screen is damaged, it can be replaced. Dampen the wooden frame with a wet sponge to peel off the old paper, then apply new paper using shoji glue or starch paste (denpun-nori).
Note: Do not use wood glue (PVA), as it will make future replacements impossible.
Environment: Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity. These can cause the wood to warp or the fabrics and Washi paper to fade (discolor) over time.

The 1mm Variance: Every component is hand-sewn and hand-assembled. Slight variances of about 1mm, visible adhesive marks, or minor asymmetries may occur. These are not defects but a "mark of the hand" - a sign of authentic craftsmanship not found in mass-produced items.
Natural Wood Grain: The wooden display stand is made of natural wood. Each piece features a unique grain and color tone. Please enjoy the natural deepening of the wood's color as it ages.
